The first day of the garage sale went amazing. We made about $80! I couldn’t believe it! It was a great turnout considering that my street is a dead end and there were two of the high schools holding graduation ceremonies and a giant subdivision sale less than a mile away.

We also met some great people. One of the really nice ladies we met was Marge. I told her that we were having the garage sale to raise money for the reward/travel fund for the family because Laura was missing and she gave a donation. She wouldn’t even take anything in return. If you somehow see this Marge – Thank you so much and it was great to meet you!

We got to talk to great people and made a bunch of new friends. It was great!
I have to remember to put on some aloe because I’m burnt! hah. Tomorrow I’ll remember to wear sunscreen!

From the weather forecast, it looks like it’s going to rain out tomorrow. If it does, then we will have day two of the garage sale either on Thursday or Friday of this coming week.

Rene and I are holding garage sales in June.

Mine will be 6/6 – 6/7 in Livonia, Michigan .

Rene’s will be on 6/20 in Fruita, Colorado.

All of the proceeds will go to the reward/travel fund for Laura’s family.

If you would like to donate items or come on by and shop till you drop!

Laura’s sisters, mom and I are trying to get down to Florida to help search for her and get out the word to more people. Her sisters and mother all live in Colorado and it will be an expensive trip down there. We have been fortunate enough to have a place offered for us to stay, but they still need help to get down to Florida.

If anyone would like to donate any amount to help them to get to Florida and to help create a reward for information, we would greatly appreciate it. We’ve established an account at Bank of America where donations can be made both for a reward for information and to help her family get to Florida.

You can go to any Bank of America and just tell the teller that you’d like to donate to the business checking account under Finding Laura Nimbach with Amanda T. Bott as the person.

We also have a paypal account.

If we could get a reward going it would be amazing and could maybe entice someone who knows something to come forward.

This money would not be used frivolously, it’s for gas money for her sisters and mom to get down there and for a reward for information on Laura. If you would like to donate, we would appreciate any amount no matter how small. Even one dollar!
Thank you all for your help so much. We appreciate everyone’s help so much! I hope that one day we can help someone in need as much as you all have helped us.

Hi

We’ve been fortunate enough to find great volunteers through facebook, craigslist and ravelry to pass out flyers all over! It has really been amazing at how much people care. We really don’t know how to repay everyone for their kindness.

If you would like to help put up flyers in the Tampa Bay area,  print out Laura’s Missing Person Flyer and let me know where you’ve put them. I’ve been trying to keep a mental map of where they’re going. Please let me know if you would like me to print some for you at your local kinkos.

- Thank you all so much,

Amanda

I know that we’re getting into blogging pretty late in the game, but I figured that it wouldn’t be too late.

I didn’t realize that you could put things on here for downloading!

I just wanted to tell everyone who has taken the time to help in any sort of way weither it was just emailing us to get flyers and then posting them all over Tampa Bay, calling news reporters to try to get them to do a story on Laura, reposting a bulletin on myspace or sending us a comment on facebook to keep our chins up and they’re praying for Laura – Thank you all! It has been amazing and without your help we couldn’t have begun to do anything to find Laura.

We are so greatful that there have been so many people willing to help.

Thank you all so much for your warm wishes, prayers and hard work. We can’t thank everyone enough for helping us and we hope to repay the favor to someone one day in their time of need.

- Amanda and Rene
